Projects
Here is some of the work we have accomplished with our educational partners over the years:
New York City Department of Education
Job-embedded support was provided to teachers at several NYCDOE schools in grades 6-12. Training varied by school site, but encompassed topics such as differentiated instruction, literacy strategies, increasing the rigor and relevance of mathematics tasks, aligning instruction and assessment to the standards, and creating pacing guides and content support. In addition, 4-day summer workshops were delivered as part of the Algebra 4 All initiative. Remote coaching was provided to support teachers and administrators during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The School District of Philadelphia
Job-embedded professional development was provided to teachers in grades K-8 to support standards-based instruction and assessment as they shifted toward focus- and task-based lesson formats.
State College Area School District
We provided a summer professional development workshop for teachers on differentiated grading and assessment.
Perth Amboy School District
We offered job-embedded professional development to teachers in grades 6-12 to support differentiated, standards-based instruction.
Newton Public School District
We worked closely with the administration and mathematics teachers at Newton High School to rewrite the math curriculum using a backward planning approach and the Understanding By Design framework. This partnership involved using a combined workshop and job-embedded coaching format.
